Description: ACT Up Americas’ permission to march at the 1991 Hispanic Day Parade was granted, but then revoked at the last minute. The activists decided to march alongside the parade carrying large flags of Latin American countries - Peru, Mexico, Honduras, Venezuela, etc. - with their respective numbers of AIDS deaths painted across the flags.
